Instrumented Pavement Recycling Performance On I-64 by VDOT Thursday, February 11, 2021 7:00:00 PM UTC - 8:30:00 PM UTC
Description: Between 2016 and 2019, the Virginia Department of Transportation completed the reconstruction and widening of a 7.08 mile portion of I-64 near Williamsburg, VA. The work was completed using a combination of full depth reclamation (FDR) and cold central plant recycling (CCPR) and is the largest recycling project in North America completed to date (incorporating more than 500,000 tons of recycled material). In addition to the recycling work, researchers from the Virginia Transportation Research Council and the Virginia Tech Transportation Institute installed sensors within the pavement layers so the performance of the section could be measured while under live traffic. This webinar summarizes the pavement design, instrumentation methods, and preliminary results. Target Audience & Presenters: State highway and local agencies, industry, suppliers, consultants, and academia or any person interested in maintaining and preserving good pavement condition If you've never used Adobe Connect, get a quick overview: http://www.adobe.com/products/adobeconnect.html |
