Work Zone Impacts and Strategies Estimator (WISE) Software and Pilot Sites

The fifteenth webinar of the FHWA’s Every Day Counts (EDC)-3 Smarter Work Zones (SWZ) Webinar series will discuss the Work Zone Impacts and Strategies Estimator (WISE) software, developed as part of the Second Strategic Highway Research Program (SHRP2) and will feature the four sites that are currently piloting the WISE software; the Association of Monterey Bay Area Governments (AMBAG), Maryland SHA, MetroPlan Orlando, and Tennessee DOT. Topics include a brief overview of work zone traffic analysis, a summary of SHRP2, discussion on the origins of the WISE software, and the status of WISE implementation. This webinar will provide participants with an introduction to the WISE software, information on the SWZ Project Coordination initiative, and an understanding of how agencies will be integrating the WISE software into their respective business processes.
