Funding Opportunity: HOPE Program (Option 1)
Wednesday, March 25, 2020 6:00:00 PM UTC - 9:00:00 PM UTC
FTA is hosting this webinar to provide information about FTA’s Helping to Obtain Prosperity for Everyone (HOPE) Program (https://www.transit.dot.gov/HOPE). Join FTA program staff to learn more about this competitive funding opportunity, including application eligibility, evaluation criteria, and the application submission process. FTA issued the Notice of Funding Opportunity for the HOPE program on March 3, 2020, and the deadline for applying is May 4, 2020.

The HOPE program seeks to fund projects that support improvements to public transportation in areas of persistent poverty to help lift communities out of poverty and ensure that transportation connects people to jobs, schools and healthcare facilities. In addition, the program is intended to help reduce barriers for people seeking substance abuse treatment and recovery services.

The new HOPE program supports planning, engineering, and technical studies or financial planning to improve transit services in areas experiencing long-term economic distress. Eligible projects must come from areas with 20 percent or more of the population living in poverty for 30 years or more, as measured by the U.S. Census, and the 2013-2017 American Community Survey.

Webinar participants will learn about applicant and project eligibility and will have an opportunity to obtain answers to questions. Please visit the HOPE webpage www.transit.dot.gov/HOPE for more information on the program.

Don’t miss this opportunity to learn more about the HOPE program and how to apply.

Another opportunity to attend this webinar is being provided at 2:00 PM ET on Wednesday, April 8, 2020: https://connectdot.connectsolutions.com/admin/show-event-catalog?folder-id=1102745106
